HOW IT’S MADE

Like many of our patterned steel products, stainless steel checker plate begins life as standard stainless steel sheet. It is manufactured in a foundry and rolled into sheet form using a hot rolling process. Unlike stainless steel sheet, one side of the hot roller has the checker pattern which is impressed onto the sheet. With the other side being smooth, this is how the sheet has a pattern on one side and is smooth on the other. That smooth side is essential for secure fixing using screws or adhesive. Stainless steel tread plate is a very flexible material that looks good and performs exceptionally well. We offer a free cutting service, meaning you can easily order precisely the amount of metal you need. Just order the next size up and provide exact dimensions on the order page.
