Corten Steel Pond Water Feature

Corten steel begins its life blue-grey in colour, but gradually turns to a textured orange hue when it is exposed to the elements. Although the outer coating resembles rust, it actually protects the inner core of the metal from corrosion, making it an excellent choice for gardens. Fully polyurea lined inside, this is sprayed on then allowed to set and creates a fully waterproof barrier. It is also non-toxic and animal and plant safe.
Product takes 6-9 months to fully weather from the natural steel colour to the protective orange-brown hue (see more below).
Warning: During the weathering period, run-off can stain adjacent material. Please bear this in mind when positioning your pond.
We suggest using a neutralising water supplement if your water does not have a neutral PH level; this is to make sure the weathering process is not affected, and to prevent residue. We recommend checking the PH levels of your water often, to make sure they don’t affect the look and weathering process of the steel.

Corten Steel weathering – how it works:

Please Note: Corten products can arrive at any stage of weathering. We cannot guarantee what level they will be or even if multiple items ordered at the same time will all be at the same level. Unweathered areas of your stairs will be the colour of freshly manufactured steel, with a dark oily coating.
As your Corten Steel stairs begin to weather, the oily residue will break down.
Your stairs will begin to change gradually to uniform orange-brown. Please be aware that ‘run-off’ may stain stone or concrete surfaces and bear this in mind when deciding where to place your stairs.
After 9 months, your stairs should be almost entirely rust-coloured. Please be aware that run-off may still occur for several months after the uniform rust colour has been achieved.

Our stunning Black Heat Resistant Log Burner will become the centrepiece of any area it is used in. Coated in a specially designed heat resistant paint which can withstand up to 500°C, this stunning Log Burner not only looks timeless in the deep matte colour but is also highly functional. The sharp, clean edges of this Black Heat Resistant Stig Log Burner by Adezz lend this piece an air of sophistication. Fabricated from 3 mm thick Corten Steel as standard, then coated with the black heat resistant paint, these Log Burners are extremely strong meaning they are suited to both domestic and commercial applications. Important:

The products are delivered un-rusted
The products must be unpacked immediately after delivery so any moisture between the packaging and the product is not sealed. This can cause irregular rust and stains
The accessories such as smoke flues and rain caps are easy to assemble by sliding them together
With the accessories it is important to pay attention to the diameter of the smoke flues; type Enok and Stig XL have a diameter of 200mm – all other types have a diameter of 154mm

Heating advice:

Start with firelighters with small pieces of dry wood placed on top
Only use lamp oil with article DNS (Foc); no bioethanol or such
Use small pieces of dry wood to slowly heat the fireplace and smoke flue. Once the fire is burning clearly, you can slowly increase the fire (use max. 1,5kg dry wood per time)

Maintenance:

Clean the grill immediately after use and store in a dry environment. If the grill is kept in the fireplace for a few days, it will have the chance to rust. Our grills are tested and SGS certified
Remove the ash after use and clean the flue pipe once a year
At the coated fireplaces rust may occur on the welded seams. You can touch this up with the supplied spray with heat-resistant lacquer
